Legal Disclaimer

Last updated: July 28, 2026

MandamusProSe provides document templates and educational information only. We are not attorneys and nothing on this site is legal advice.

1. We Are Not a Law Firm

MandamusProSe is not a law firm, a lawyer referral service, or a legal document preparation service acting on your behalf. Our staff are not licensed to practice law and do not act as your attorney. We do not review the facts of your case, advise you on strategy, select a legal theory for you, or file anything with a court on your behalf.

2. No Attorney-Client Relationship

Buying a template, reading our guides, or emailing our support address does not create an attorney-client relationship. Communications with us are not protected by attorney-client privilege and are not confidential in the way communications with a lawyer would be.

3. Not Legal Advice

All content on this site — articles, guides, checklists, sample language, and templates — is general information published for educational purposes. It is not tailored to your circumstances and may not be appropriate for your case. Immigration and federal civil procedure are complex, fact-specific, and change over time.

We strongly recommend consulting a licensed immigration attorney before filing any federal lawsuit.

4. Risks of Self-Representation

Filing pro se means representing yourself in federal court. You are held to the court's rules and deadlines. Real risks include:

  • Dismissal of your case for procedural or pleading defects;
  • Filing in an improper venue or against improper defendants;
  • Missing service, response, or scheduling deadlines;
  • Liability for filing fees and, in rare cases, costs or sanctions;
  • Unintended effects on your pending immigration benefit application.

You accept these risks when you choose to proceed without counsel.

5. No Guarantee of Results

We do not guarantee that a mandamus action will compel USCIS to act, speed up your case, or succeed. Success rates described in our articles are general observations drawn from public sources, not predictions about your matter. Past outcomes in other cases do not indicate what will happen in yours.

6. Accuracy and Currency

Court rules, agency practice, processing times, and case law change. We make a good-faith effort to keep our guides accurate and current, but we do not warrant that any statement is complete, current, or correct at the time you read it. Always verify against the official rules of your district court and current USCIS guidance.

7. Templates Require Your Review

Our templates contain placeholder language and generic structure. They must be completed, adapted, and proofread by you before filing. Filing an unedited template is likely to harm your case. You alone are responsible for the final content of anything you file.

8. Third-Party Content

We link to government agencies, courts, and other outside sources for convenience. We do not endorse and are not responsible for that content.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, MandamusProSe is not liable for any loss arising from your use of this site or our templates, including denied or delayed immigration benefits, dismissed filings, court costs, or sanctions. See our Terms of Service for the full limitation.
